His genius is perhaps forgotten by the majority of the world but those who have stood in line to praise the man from the Venetian north east of Italy will attest to his evergreen power, his movement, his vision and, perhaps above all, his deadly finishing. If not plagued by injury, Baggio's 22-year-long career would have surely proffered more than his eventual tally of nearly 250 goals in over 500 appearances at the highest level.
